Certificates of Fitness

Jurisdictions, such as New York City, have adopted regulatory requirements for the supervision of energy storage systems. These requirements ensure that personnel that operate these facilities are knowledge and well-trained in the specific hazards that exist at the facility. Our team has the knowledge and experience to meet the certification requirements for the supervision of energy storage systems in New York City and other jurisdictions.

NYC Certificates of Fitness

The Fire Department of New York (FDNY) issues Certificates of Fitness for those that perform certain operations or operate certain facilities within New York City. These Certificates of Fitness are required under New York City Fire Code. For example, Certificate of Fitness B28 is required for supervision of Stationary Energy Storage Systems, such as those commonly used in commercial buildings to provide power for non-emergency purposes. The B28 Certificate of Fitness is specific to the person and location for which it is issued. As a client of BESS 24/7, we will obtain the necessary Certificates of Fitness from FDNY for your facility.
